Odins Owl Wedding | Brooke & Jon | Rustic Fairytale Michigan Wedding

Brooke and Jon’s summer wedding at Odin’s Owl in Michigan was a beautiful, rustic event filled with personal touches. From the venue and decor to Brooke’s custom wedding dress, their day was focused on what mattered most – their personalities, their love, their families, and their marriage.

It was love at first sight when Brooke and Jon first toured Odin’s Owl, the venue is the perfect combination of barn and castle – a place where dreams of a woodland fairytale wedding can come true! Inspired by the venue itself, Brooke and Jon kept their decor simple and rustic. Centerpieces of small cut logs with greenery and candles with touches of gold filled the long, family style guest tables.

While their guests were no doubt impressed by the venue, Brooke’s custom dress was just as deserving of admiration. She made six trips to a custom designer in Kentucky to make the dress of her dreams come to life! I also loved that she had a heart shaped piece of her mother’s dress sewn inside for an extra personal touch.

What Brooke and Jon were most excited for though, was “the aisle moment.” They opted for a First Touch before the ceremony so that Jon’s first look at Brooke would be her walking down the aisle toward him. The emotions and reactions of both of these moments did not disappoint! Brooke also had a little surprise planned for Jon…a dance down the aisle by her sister and bridesman to “Dear Future Husband” – a song Brooke sings to Jon nearly every time they’re in the car together!

It was such an honor to capture and celebrate the love these two have for each other. Jon absolutely adores Brooke, they have the type of love that just makes you smile and feel warm and fuzzy inside. I feel blessed to be their Forever Photographer, and I can’t wait for the next chapter of their love story!
