Michigan League Ballroom address: 911 North University Avenue Ann Arbor, MI 48109
The Michigan League Ballroom is one of my favorite wedding reception spaces to photograph in downtown Ann Arbor. The floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with natural light and the chandeliers overhead add warmth and elegance that works in every season.
Outside the Michigan League Ballroom, the Courtyard Gardens show off a green, serene outdoor setting right on campus, and it offers a completely different aesthetic from the interior without leaving the property. Ingalls Mall, just steps away, and the nearby Law Quad are also great spots for portraits with a classic Ann Arbor feel.
For couples who have a connection to the University of Michigan, getting married here carries a meaning that goes beyond aesthetics and that emotion shows up in their photos.
p.s. I am a Michigan Wedding Photographer and all the photos you see here are mine. Enjoy!

The second-floor ballroom is the primary reception space and the heart of the Michigan League wedding experience. It holds up to 250 guests and features floor-to-ceiling windows, an expansive ceiling with chandeliers, warm wood trim, and a dance floor.
The ballroom is also available as an indoor ceremony space and couples frequently use it for both.

Michigan League Ballroom is a full-service venue with in-house catering, bar service, and event coordination. Setup and cleanup are included, along with chairs, tables, china, flatware, glassware, and linens.
Catering is handled in-house and is consistently one of the most praised aspects of the venue. Couples can choose from plated dinners, buffets, stations, family style, and more, including options for dietary restrictions. An annual menu tasting is available, which gives couples the chance to work through the menu and customize it before their wedding day.
Bar service is provided through the venue and includes bartenders, house beer, wine, liquor, and premium liquor, with options for open bar, limited bar, signature drinks and champagne toast.
Event rentals and equipment available on-site include audio equipment, a dance floor, drapery, lighting, chair covers, and furniture, which cuts down significantly on what couples need to source externally.
