Ann Arbor Engagement Session | Amanda & Brett | Brewery & Baseball
I recently had a super fun engagement photo shoot with Amanda and Brett at HOMES Brewery and West Park in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As I’ve gotten to know these two over the past few months it was clear that their love story was the perfect narrative for their engagement session!
Amanda & Brett’s first date was at a brewery – so we started at their favorite spot in Ann Arbor, HOMES! (By the way, if you haven’t been there before, you need to check it out – the drinks AND the food are delicious!)
Brett’s sweetness, Amanda’s fun personality, and their shared love of baseball made a second date a no-brainer. Where better for their next date, and for our next engagement session stop, than a baseball field?!
Take note gentlemen, when you know you have the woman you want to marry in your life – do your proposal right! Brett proposed to Amanda during an ALASKAN CRUISE with some of their best friends. Just wait, it gets even better…they managed to get onto the last helicopter ride of the day (yes, Alaskan weather almost ruined Brett’s proposal plan)…they CLIMBED A GLACIER, and he PROPOSED AT THE TOP! Not only does that proposal take some serious planning and commitment…but can you imagine how nerve racking it would be to have an engagement ring burning a hole through your pocket while you’re climbing a glacier?! Serious props Brett! Oh…and the rock is gorgeous…
I am beyond grateful that these two have put their trust in me to capture their love…weather seems to have a knack for not playing along with their plans. What started as a warm and cloudy spring day…
turned into a DOWNPOUR. But when I asked them if they were game to make the most of it, they were totally on board…and it was magic, PURE MAGIC.
I CANNOT WAIT to capture their wedding day! I just know that their ceremony at Matthaei Botanical Gardens and their reception at Weber’s in Ann Arbor will be GORGEOUS and we are going to have so much FUN.
