Spicer Orchards Fall Engagement Session | Julianne & Nick
Julianne & Nick’s Engagement Session at Spicer Orchards in Fenton, Michigan was pure perfection! It was one of those beautiful fall days that had just a hint of chill in the air, the smell of delicious donuts and cider all around, and it ended with a gorgeous sunset! It is impossible to go to Spicer’s without getting donuts and cider, so that’s where we started off! Beginning the session with something fun and casual was the perfect way to shake off the nerves.
I just knew their session was going to be magic when we started off with the most amazing light coming through the trees on the patio and when I saw the way Julianne smiles when Nick makes her laugh! Next Stop: Hitching a Wagon Ride to the Pumpkin Patch! The Orchards were even busier than we expected them to be, but waiting in line together gave us the perfect opportunity to get to know each other better. Julianne and Nick have such a sweet proposal story! On a trip to their alma mater, Central Michigan University, he proposed to her at a spot by the Chippewa River where they had a picnic for their first date five years earlier! Not only do they have a beautiful proposal story, but Nick did an amazing job designing Julianne’s custom engagement ring! I love the detail in her twisted band!
A Pumpkin Patch Photo Session was Julianne’s inspiration for having their engagement session in the Fall – so we definitely made the most of our time in the Patch! When you’re around Julianne and Nick, you can just feel how “easy” their love is – the way they make each other smile and laugh is infectious!
On our way to the winery for a quick outfit change, I spotted an amazing vintage truck parked by the barns…it was time to heat things up a bit and I am so glad these two were willing to play along! I mean, c’mon, who doesn’t want to have some sexy photos by a sexy truck?!
Remember that gorgeous sunset I mentioned? Oh it’s coming! But first we had to get some amazing golden light photos in the Orchard!
