Good Tymes Barn Rustic Wedding | Melissa & Austin | Michigan
I’ve been thinking back to this beautiful wedding for a couple weeks now and I’m so excited to share Melissa & Austin’s story today! Melissa and Austin are high school sweethearts (I’ve had a lot of high school sweetheart couples this summer and I LOVE it because my husband and I are high school sweethearts too!) and they are just the sweetest couple! You can instantly feel the love that they have for each other – they balance each other out, support each other, and genuinely care for each other’s happiness. It was amazing to spend the day with them and their family and friends!
When we arrived to Good Tymes Barn in Melvin, it was time to take care of all the finishing touches before the ceremony! Melissa and Austin incorporated some very personal pieces into their day – she wore her Grandmother’s ring and he crafted a custom ring box among other pieces.
Once Melissa was in her dress and all the details were in place it was time for the First Look – a Daddy Daughter First Look! I love these almost as much as my Bride and Groom First Looks. The way Melissa’s dad looked at her when he saw her for the first time gave all the bridesmaids all the feels! We also did a surprise First Look with Grandma – this one definitely got the waterworks going!
After the First Looks it was ceremony time! It was a beautiful fall day for an outdoor wedding in Michigan and Austin’s face when he saw Melissa was priceless!
Melissa and Austin’s Bridal Party was full of their closest friends and family – it’s always amazing to see a couple start their journey as husband and wife knowing that they have such a strong and tight knit support system!
You can never go wrong with wearing boots on a wedding day! I love mine – they’re so comfy 🙂 If you have a fall wedding, I’ll probably wear them to yours!
Best Friends leave lipstick marks, give you piggy back rides, and dance it out with you on your wedding day! I love it when the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids bring out the “real” friendship on your wedding day!
And when you have kids THIS CUTE in your wedding – they get their very own photo shoot with you 😀
My absolute favorite part of the day though was when Austin and Melissa were able to get a little alone time to soak in their first moments of being HUSBAND and WIFE <3
There was a surprise celebration yet to come at the Reception…Most of of the guests at the wedding already knew that Melissa & Austin are expecting…but they didn’t know the gender…until the gender reveal cake cutting!!!
Melissa’s smile when she saw the pink frosting was THE CUTEST – it’s a girl!!!!!
With that it was time to open up the dance floor!
Melissa and Austin, thank you for letting me share your special day with you and your loved ones, and for trusting me to preserve your memories! May your marriage and life together continue to be blessed – I can’t wait to see what is in store for you and your adorable baby girl!
