From meeting at trivia night at Freddy’s Bar, to their surprise proposal in Detroit, Cody & Rosie’s love story continues with their lake engagement session! Their engagement photos captured their laughter, connection and their anticipation for their upcoming Waldenwoods wedding.
Rosie & Cody’s Love Story
- Cody and Rosie met at Trivia night at Freddy’s Bar in Clinton Township through mutual friends. They didn’t win trivia, but he won her heart!
- Their first date was Rosie (who loves cooking) inviting Cody over to make his favorite food, chicken pot pie.
- Their proposal was on October 28, 2022. Cody proposed to Rosie at his workplace, M1 Studios. It was covered in rose petals, photos of them, and their favorite music playing in the background! Their friends were secretly waiting off-set and they ended up spending the entire night having a pasta dinner with their closest family and friends, then drinks at their favorite cocktail bar, Kozy Lounge. Cody also planned a weekend away for them in Detroit, where they had a spa day, a romantic evening at the Detroit Club, followed by tickets to the Detroit Lions game!
The Engagement Session
When Rosie and Cody told me that they love to spend their summers enjoying the vintage boat he restored, I knew we had to make it the centerpiece of their summer engagement session. A sunset cruise in metro Detroit (at Camp Agawam in Lake Orion to be exact) was the perfect way to tell their love story. When they got in the water at the end of the session to cool off, it ended up getting a little steamy instead!
Planning Their Perfect Wedding Day
As they look ahead to their wedding day at Waldenwoods, Rosie & Cody imagine feeling relaxed and filled with love. They know they only get one day to throw a party that truly represents them, with all of their favorite people. Rosie and Cody want the day to be filled with happy tears, laughter, good food and music. They hope everyone will be inspired by the decor and take in the beautiful venue of Waldenwoods.
